All the staff at the unit make sure that your right to confidentiality is maintained at all times. None of our patient records leave the unit (unless expressly authorised by you). This information is not accessible to other staff in the Trust or by outside agencies and GPs. As part of Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust, we follow their confidentiality policy. This is in line with the national NHS guidelines on the management of patient records and the Data Protection Act 1998.
